Who We Are
The British Columbia Organization of Caribbean Cultural Associations (BCOCCA) is an umbrella organization dedicated to uniting Caribbean associations across British Columbia. We serve as a collaborative platform that strengthens relationships among member organizations while promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Caribbean within the broader Canadian community.
BCOCCA represents a diverse network of Caribbean nations and cultures, working together to build a stronger, more connected community in British Columbia.
Our Purpose
BCOCCA exists to:
- Foster unity and collaboration among Caribbean associations
- Promote and preserve Caribbean culture, history, and traditions
- Advocate for the interests of Caribbean communities in BC
- Support youth development, health awareness, and community well-being
- Build partnerships with public, private, and community stakeholders
- Harmonized and Standardized Resources across member associations.
Through coordinated programs, cultural events, and strategic initiatives, we provide leadership and a unified voice for Caribbean people throughout the province.
